The Running Game Cover

SYNOPSIS:  The Australian rugby union team's tour to the United Kingdom & Ireland is the most prestigious a player can make for his country. Surrounded by controversy and sustained by comradeship the 1981-82 Wallabies travelled through Britain during the worst winter of the twentieth century. Travel with the legends of Australian Rugby; Mark Loane, Paul McLean, Mark, Glen & Gary Ella, Tony Shaw and Simon Poidevin as they confront some of the great players the northern hemisphere.  Clive Woodward, Paul Dodge the incomparable Captain Bill Beaumont and co. turn it on for their guests at Twickenham. Christmas in London and the grip of winter tightens trapping the Australians in Porthcawl on the Welsh coast in fifteen feet of snow.  Great sports footage combines with social observation in this intense and personal view behind the scenes on the greatest tour of all.
