Funeral of Sir Thomas Blaymey Melbourne May 1951 length 3'52"

Category: ASIO Surveillance Films

Here's one of the earliest surveillance films shot by the fledgling intelligence service ASIO.

It's May 1951 and they're shooting the funeral procession of Sir Thomas Blamey.

Were they just practising with their new camera or can anyone suggest a security reason that Blamey's funeral should be of interest.

Looking at the footage now it's hard to tell the difference between 1951 and 1910
