Whilst many revolutions have started in back rooms it just doesn't look like it's going to start from this back room. The age of the attendees indicates that period when the party faithful were aging and had not yet been challenged by young people coming through as would happen by the late 1960s. Both ASIO and the Communist Party suffered from the same problems in letting a younger generation take over the reins of the respective organisdation.
The last couple of minutes of the film are technically poor but any professional cameraman would recognise and amateur at work. The film has not been laced into the camera correctly and begins to ride up and down in the film gate. Training of ASIO officers operating movie cameras was poor and the results reflect thbe lack of training.
